Camping at East Canyon State Park with the Minors

Camped at East Canyon this past weekend, just for one night but it was a lot of fun and beautiful.  The Fall colors are peaking and we had one of the prettiest drives there and especially on the way home!  The first 3 pictures are in Provo Canyon on the way up.

Interesting rock formation.

We found a site (4), near the Minors' yurt.  That evening we were treated to 5 deer who were grazing in the next campsite.  They are obviously used to campers since campers would drive by and they barely looked up from their feast.

The Minors slept in a Yurt (Wells).  This particular yurt is wheelchair accessible and very roomy inside with quite a bit of sleeping space.  I think they had fun.

The next morning, after a HUGE breakfast, we all took a walk down by the lake.  Braden and Jaycie had fun tossing rocks and the rest of us just enjoyed being in such a pretty place.

These are NOT M&Ms....deer droppings!

A view of the campground from the hill.

The dam at the lake.

The prettiest part of the trip was the drive home.  We took a different route and despite it's curvy road, the views of the Fall colors were breathtaking.
