Review - Siege of Madindaw

The Siege of Macindaw (Ranger's Apprentice, #6)The Siege of Macindaw by John Flanagan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great title in the series.

The plot (courtesy of GoodReads.com): The kingdom is in danger. Renegade knight Sir Keren has succeeded in overtaking Castle Macindaw and is now conspiring with the Scotti. The fate of Araluen rests in the hands of two young adventurers: the Ranger Will and his warrior friend, Horace. Yet for Will, the stakes are even higher. For inside the castle, someone he loves is being held hostage. And now the time has come for this onetime apprentice to grow up.

I love how involved you become in the plot, making it very difficult to put down! It's going to be fun to see how the relationship of the three friends develops.

Now I'm reading #7 of the series, Erak's Ransom by John Flanagan. While this book is part of the series Flanagan decided to fill in time between previous books, so we leave the present and travel back in time a couple of volumes. Once that book is done, we will come back to the present.
