Hawaii, Day 14

Today is Wednesday, January 1, 2014.  It's a new year but it's the 13th day of our cruise and 14th day of our vacation.

It was another low key, day at sea.  We had breakfast at the buffet but woke up very late and didn't even make it up there until about 11:00.  We noticed that as we were leaving they were closing the breakfast buffet in preparation for the lunch buffet.  DeeAnn went to the ice carving demonstration while I went out on deck 7 and read some of my Monk book.  I came back to the room and went out on the deck for some more reading.  I even fell asleep out there, lulled by the waves and rocking of the boat.  We had a very light lunch, like a nice cream cone.  Dinner with the group was nice again.  It was Italian night.  I had a spaghetti and meatballs.

Our table, the last formal night
Ready to celebrate!

For an appetizer and a pasta with olive oil, tomato sauce and garlic (lots and lots of garlic).  DeeAnn had the veal which she did not care for.

One of the appetizer choices
Another of the appetizers
Salad with artichoke and beets
Lobster, asparagus and rice
Dessert choice

After dinner I went back to the room for some more cross stitching time while DeeAnn went to the show, a fiddler.  She sat with Dan, Lois, Andy and Maurine and had a nice visit.
