Hawaii - Day 13

Today is December 31st, New Year's eve.

On our first day back, at sea.  Breakfast at the DaVinci dining room.  We were not very impressed with breakfast selections.

Buffet breakfast options much better than dining room options

Afterwards, DeeAnn went knitting while I wandered around the boat for a while then went back to the room to cross stitch.  We joined up for a light lunch of pizza and an ice cream cone.  We watched the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert DVD then went to our third and final formal night at dinner.  We stopped by one of the scenes, after seeing the different selections and deciding on the ship scene.  To get to the dining room, one has to get there via only 2 elevators.  Since there are a lot of older people on board and others too lazy to use the stairs, waiting for an elevator has been an exercise in frustration at times.  But we discovered that by going up to the 14th floor then coming back down we were much more successful.  Going up is not quite so hard but we usually have to wait for crowds to subside.  Dinner was lobster for DeeAnn and a pasta with spinach and cheese for me.

Cheese plate for me

After dinner DeeAnn went to sleep while went and watched the movie under the stars, The Lone Ranger.  It was New Year's Eve so they included little hats for us in the dining room and noise makers.  Apparently the ship blew its horn at midnight to usher in the new year. We presented baby booties to our server Jordan, who's wife is expecting a baby boy in March.

Here is our picture we selected:
