Hawaii, Day 17

Today is Saturday, January 4th.  It's our 17th and last day of vacation, and 16th day of the cruise.

Today we disembarked.  We were asked to get out of the room by 8 am but didn't have to be off the ship until 9:40 am.  Good thing we had plenty of time to get an elevator.  We had put one suitcase out the night before so I was only needed to wrangle one this morning, much easier than 2 would have been.  We waited patiently for our group to be called and once we were we were escorted off the ship to an awaiting van for a trip to the airport.

What is usually a 1 1/2 hour plane ride home wound up bine an 11 1/2 hour tip.  Weather delays in the east caused delays through out the country.  Our original flight was from SFO to Las Vegas and then to Salt Lake City but the first flight was pushed back so far we would have missed the connection.  So when we got to the airport, they reassigned us to a flight to Los Angeles then to Salt Lake.  Once we were in LA our flight was delayed a couple of hours but finally made it home, in the door about 1:30 am Sunday morning.  A very long day of travel.
