For Fall Break this year we took a little Harvey trip down to Richfield, Utah. The mountains were beautiful with the Fall colors of oranges, yellows and reds.
Pretty scenery on the way down. |
We stopped at Beaver for cheese and gas. While at the gas station, it was discovered that our back tires on Harvey were in desperate (and near dangerous) need of repair. So, we bought new back tires and we were back on our way in about 40 minutes.
We stayed at the Richfield KOA and it, too, was showing it's brilliant Fall colors.
We only stayed one night but it was enough to give us a little much needed nature therapy.
Went passed the new Payson Temple which is almost finished. It has been fun watching it being built. The open house should be announced soon.
After coming home, we hugged the pets, did a few loads a laundry and headed to Salt Lake City for our next "staycation" event which was hearing the Orchestra at Temple Square perform.
The above 2 pictures are from the new City Creek Mall. |
The concert was great and seeing the SLC Temple all light up at night was a great way to end the day.
We stayed the night at the Marriot and the next morning went to hear the Mormon Tabernacle.
Ending with "God Be With You 'Till We Meet Again" |
We tried the Cheesecake Factory's breakfast and enjoyed it! |
We took the Park City route on the way back to Provo and saw more spectacular Fall colors!
