Camping at Kent's Lake (yep, they named a lake after him)

We had an enjoyable camping weekend at Kent's Lake.  It is in the mountains near Beaver, Utah so it took awhile to get there.  We first stopped at Cluff's Car Hop in Fillmore.  A fun little place that has been there since the 50's and the food is very good.  Getting to Kent's lake was an interesting adventure and the fact it was pouring rain made the drive even more "fun."  The road was curvy and narrow and about 5 miles of it was gravel, but we made it was just barely enough sunlight to get parked and set up in site 2, an ADA site.  The site itself was very pretty, shaded, and private.

We saw 1 deer and this little guy...that was it for critters.
It rained quite a bit the first night, but we relaxed to the sound of the rain on the roof and the distant thunder.  The next day we just read and ate and watched a few movies and really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings.  Last night, however, our sleep was interrupted by scratching noises....Kent turned on his flashlight to find a live mouse on the stove.  He quickly disappeared but we know he lingered because there were holes in the bread bags in the pantry.  We made several attempts to find him but nope (we now have some mousetraps in a few places in the rv).  So we don't know if he's still there or fled the rv when we headed home this morning.  The drive home was pretty uneventful but since it wasn't raining, we could see more of the area and it was very pretty....even the gravel road.

We took a quick detour on the way home to Walmart (for mousetraps) and a dive by the Payson LDS Temple.  Good end to a nice weekend.  We hope to camp there again.
