Day 4 was another "At Sea" day, cruising south to San Diego. The best part? Not an orange cone in sight as far as the eye could see. Now we knew we were on vacation!
Our balcony. Surprisingly, we didn't really use it much. It was nice to open the window and let the fresh sea breeze in but we usually sat inside doing crafts. I don't think I read a single page unless it was at the airport or on the airplane.
Balconies below us. That was one feature of the ship that we didn't like. If you were on deck 10 or 9 you had little privacy on the balcony. Our deck, 11, had rooms above us but there was no overhang so they couldn't look in on us.
Nice accessibility features such as ramps at the water-tight doors. I was a gentleman and opened the door while DeeAnn got her day's 5 minutes of exercise going up and down the ramps. Fortunately, there was only one to go through on the way to the buffet and none to the other cafes or dining rooms.
The International Cafe, located in the atrium, was open 24 hours and offered pastries during the morning hours and cheese plates and salads (such as the shrimp salad) during the afternoon and evening. All the food was free.
DeeAnn purchased an "ultimate drink" card to enjoy milkshakes, mocktails, juices and hot chocolate at any time. I purchased an ultimate soda card so we could get unlimited sodas. the only problem was finding a bar open in the morning that served the juices. I guess they don't think soda is a good breakfast drink.
Upper decks
Our next door neighbors on formal night.
Our cabin at night, bed turned down ready for a nice sleep. With some of the waves, it was pretty nice to be rocked to sleep--as long as it didn't get too rough!
Another day ends.
