Ponderosa Camping

Last weekend (July 17-18) we made another trip up to one of our favorite spots to camp, Ponderosa.  This time we were in site 13, a long and narrow site but with plenty of room and a beautiful creek to listen to in the back.   No hookups, but the generator worked quite well with the slideout and whatever else we needed.  The weather was nice and refreshing after a very hot week.

A little ways down the road we notice a wild turkey and her young.  So cute....for turkeys that is.

Our guests for dinner that night (dutch oven ribs, potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, salad and smores) were the Minors', the Freemans', and we "adopted" a very cute older couple who were camping next us, Ralph and Mary.  The kiddos played games and we all had a great time.

Thought it would be fun to put the 2 pictures together.  Kids have grown a tad!
