Camping at Currant Creek

This weekend we camped at a new site, Currant Creek, which is about 45 miles from Heber and up some very pretty mountain ranges....that is until we got to the 6 miles of gravel road that wrapped around the lake.  Still pretty, but a little scary and very bumpy.  Harvey got quite the workout!

The start of the gravel road to the campground.

And it kept going and winding and going  .....

Harvey's rather dusty after gravel road adventure.

Maynard, our antenna topper, still happy after bumpy ride.

Our site (15) was very nice with a little shade and great views.

One of the nicest things about camping is relaxing in the Cabela chairs and read.

Beautiful Aspen trees all over.

This is on the other side of the lake.  Our campsite to the left.
Sunrise on Saturday morning at our campsite.

One of our only animal sightings... a mama deer, and if you look close, her baby following her.  Other than a hummingbird and some sheep, that was it for critters on this trip.

It's definitely a place that we want to return to someday, despite the last 6 miles of interesting road.
Next trip is to Lodgepole in a couple of weeks.
